Morgan

Graveside services for Paul Gaylon Morgan, 64, of Rockdale were held Monday, Feb. 6, 2012, in Milano Cemetery in Milano with Pastor Brad Dusenberry officiating.

Mr. Morgan died Thursday, Feb. 2, in Scott & White Hospital in Temple.

He was born July 21, 1947, in Cameron to William Franklin and Helen Barkley (Adams) Morgan.

Mr. Morgan had lived the past eight years in Rockdale and was formerly of Austin and Houston.

While in high school, he was a member of the ROTC.

He married Jeanne Bennett on Feb. 9, 2002, in St. Matthews Episcopal Church in Austin.

Mr. Morgan had worked in street maintenance for the City of Houston.

He was a member of Bible Harvest Church in Rockdale.

He enjoyed watch repair, Indian decor and eagles.

Mr. Morgan was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Robert Keith Morgan and Roy Franklin Morgan; and a niece, Pam Shafer.

Survivors are his wife, Jeanne Morgan of Rockdale; two sons, Samuel C. Bennett and wife Courtney of Cedar Park, Robert Ashley; a sister, Maudie Helen Morrison of Rockdale; three grandchildren, Nadahlia Bennett, Aaron Todd Bennett and Jesse James Bennett; his mother- in- law, Diane H. Bennett of Austin; five nieces and nephews, Roni Urbano, Debbie Travis, Gina Jatzlau, Scott Ramsey and Anthony Morrison; 18 great-nieces and nephews, Felicia, Eric, Dawn, Amie, Wesley, Adam, Stephanie, Zachary, Hannah, Kaylee, Zoe, MacKenzie, Ashley, Blake, Candace, Shelby, Brandon and Bryce; two sisters-in-law, Diane Bennett and Danielle Sullivan; and a brother-inlaw, James Bennett.

Pallbearers were Anthony Morrison, Scott Ramsey, Eddie Dodd, Pat McDonald, Robert Ashley, Adam Ramsey, Zach Morrison, Blake Dodson, Eric Padilla and Blake McCrary.

Memorials may be given to offset the funeral expenses.
