Pratt

Memorial services with military honors for Jimmie E. Pratt, 74, were held Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, at Phillips & Luckey Chapel with Brother Delmar McCracken officiating.

Mr. Pratt died Wednesday, Feb. 1, in Scott & White Hospital in Temple.

He was born April 11, 1937, in Milano to Charles David and Mary Annie (Lagrone) Pratt.

He was a graduate of Milano High School.

Mr. Pratt was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving from 1956 to 1960.

He had lived in Milano the past 15 years and was formerly of Conroe.

Mr. Pratt was a maintenance supervisor and instrument man for Texaco Chemical Co.

He married Peggy M. Pratt on July 24, 1997, in Ardmore, Oklahoma.

Mr. Pratt enjoyed camping with his wife, singing gospel music and was a “rock hound.”

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Charles Pratt.

Survivors are his wife, Peggy Pratt of Milano; three sons, Spencer A. Pratt of Conroe, Christopher D. Pratt of Augusta, Georgia, J. Darrell Pratt of Bartlett, Illinois; three stepsons, Bradley W. Cain of Kirksville, Missouri, Marshall W. Cain of Whitney, Nathan Batten of Milano; two brothers; A. D. Lagrone of Milano and Jesse D. Pratt of Anaheim, California; and a sister; Jane Friedrichs of Milano; also, 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
