The Class 3A cutoff increased from 430 to 450 and topped out at 1,004.
Rockdale turned in an enrollment of 474 and were a little bit closer to slipping down to Class 2A than it thought.
At 474, Rockdale is by far the smallest school in the new district and one of the smallest Class 3A schools in the state.
Only nine Class 3A schools have an enrollment smaller than Rockdale out of 190 schools.
The UIL moved most of Rockdale’s old district mates so far southeast that they are all now in Region IV.
Giddings, LaGrange and Smithville will join Cuero, Gonzales and Yoakum in District 26-3A.
