Theft of tools leads to arrest
A 46-year- old Temple man remains in the Milam County Jail in lieu of $6,000 bond after a burglary of a building arrest last week.
Police Chief Thomas Harris said Charles Ervin Cashaw was charged after a Rockdale man reported about 40 tools were missing from a shed. Full Story

Troopers probe crashes
Department of Public Safety state troopers responded to a pair of one-vehicle crashes Saturday in the Rockdale area.
Trooper Ernest DelBosque said a vehicle operated by Daiga Stevens, 24, flipped onto its side at 1:45 p.m. on US 77 south of Minerva.
Damages were termed moderate and the driver refused transport by AMR ambulance personnel, DelBosque said. Full Story
Twenty-six persons indicted Thursday
CAMERON—Twenty-six persons were indicted by a Milam County Grand Jury on Thursday, including three on sex-related offenses. Prosecutor Kerry Spears listed indictments as follows:
• Nat ha n Pau l Stowe, 22, Milano, aggravated sexual assault of a child.
• Mark Anthony DeLong, 52, Cameron, aggravated sexual assault of a child. Full Story
