Graveside services for Eula Maudie Bounds, 101, of Rockdale were held Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012, in Oak Lawn Cemetery in Rockdale with Rev. Calvin Springer officiating.
Mrs. Bounds died Sunday, Feb. 26, at her home in Rockdale.
She was born June 30, 1910, in the Sand Grove community of Milam County to Thomas N. and Tennie M. (Greer) DuBois.
Mrs. Bounds lived in Rockdale most of her life.
She worked for 32 years as a sales clerk at several dry good stores in Rockdale and retired in 1964 from J.B. Whites.
She married Edward Milton Bounds on Dec. 25, 1929, in Rockdale.
Mrs. Bounds was a member of First Christian Church in Rockdale and enjoyed sewing and crocheting.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward, on Aug. 8, 1970; seven brothers, Noah, Harry, John, Pat, David, Ed and Bob DuBois; and two sisters, Ora and Mattie.
Survivors are a son, Thomas Bounds and wife Jewel of Rockdale, along with a number of nieces and nephews.
