Hudson

Services for Pam Hudson, 59, were held Monday, Feb. 27, 2012, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale. Burial followed at Pleasant Retreat Cemetery near Thorndale.

Mrs. Hudson died Wednesday, Feb. 22, at Scott & White Hospital in Temple.

She was born Aug. 18, 1952, in Taylor to Wesley Ruben Beard, Sr. and Gertrude (Stam) Beard.

Mrs. Hudson graduated from Aldean High School in 1970.

She later lived in Fairfield and was a certified nurses assistant in a nursing home.

In 1993, she married Royce Hudson and they moved to Rockdale.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Rockdale and former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Post No. 6525 in Rockdale.

Mrs. Hudson enjoyed her family, her dog, target shooting, hunting, motorcycling and trips on their Harleys, as well as country music.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Peggy Loraine Beard; and a niece, Lena Kay Thomason.

Survivors are her husband, Royce Hudson of Rockdale; her children, Alan Windsor and wife Jennifer, Nikki Kuyath, Brandy Wagley, Tim Hudson and wife Angela, and Gerald Hudson and wife Rosie; and a sister, Kathy Beard and fiance Dan Kahanek of Taylor; also, nine grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Pallbearers were Brett Windsor, Tim Hudson, Gerald Hudson, Tom Beard, Mike Dudley, Barkley Alford, Jason Accomando, Dan Kahanek and Michael Lafler.

Memorials may be made to your nearest animal rescue organization or the Susan G. Koman Race for the Cure.
