What a weekend it will be. I hope you will all come out and enjoy the festivities at Fair Park March 23-24.
It will include a carnival, Full House Karaoke March 23, Brian and Carrie Weaks will be performing from 1-3 p.m. on March 24 and Lee Baker and the Kydells will be performing March 24 from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
There will be a Rib Eating Contest the night of March 23 with a cash prize for the winner.
There will be arts and crafts vendors under the pavilion and food vendors the night of March 23 and all day March 24.

The Chamber is also planning our annual banquet and is taking reservations for gold and silver sponsors.
This will be our “60thAnniversary The Year of the Diamond” for the banquet so we are pulling out all the stops
It is scheduled March 29 with the President’s reception starting at 5:30 p.m. and the meal at 6.

The City of Rockdale will be hosting a “Stash Your Trash Day” Saturday, March 31, from 8 a.m. to 12-noon at Fair Park.
The city has also implemented an“Adopt a Park” program. They are looking for individuals, organizations, and businesses to adopt one of our local parks as a beautification project.

The Rockdale Rotary Club will be hosting the annual Mike McFalls Memorial Scholarship Golf Scramble April 7.

This is one of two fundraisers that the Rotary Organization puts on to fund the Rotary College Scholarships that are awarded each year.

The Milam County Nature Festival Photo Contest is sponsored by the El Camino Real Chapter of Texas Master Naturalists.
The contest will be judged prior to the festival. All photos received by the deadline and adhering to entry criteria will be considered in the judging.
All entries (space permitting) and winning photographs will be on display for public viewing during festival hours.
There will be a short awards ceremony at 2:15 p.m., honoring the contest winners. All entrants are encouraged to attend and may pick up their photos.
The 11th Annual MARC RUN benefiting The Milam Adult Resource Center of Milam County a 501c3 (nonprofit) organization will be held April 14, starting at The Ranch.
MARC. serves Milam County in. residents with have physical and learning disabilities, teaching 5.187 them valuable life skill tasks that most people take for granted.
Fee is $20 for rider and $25 with a passenger. Ride fee includes a barbecue meal for all participants after the ride.
They will also be selling plates to the public starting at 11:30 till sold out for $8 per plate.
Registration begins at 9 a.m. with First Bike out at 11 and last bike in at 4 p.m.
There will be a 50/50 drawing, door prizes and DJ music and a live auction beginning at 4:30pm.
