Cars, motorcycles featured Saturday in Thorndale show

THOR NDALE—The third annual Thorndale Area Chamber of Commerce Car Show/ Quilt Show/Arts & Crafts is set for Saturday.

Car show registration is at 8 a.m. with awards at 1 p.m.

The Louis Run Motorcycle event will leave town at 11 a.m. and tour several stops in Central Texas.

Arts and Crafts booths will be along FM 486 south in downtown Thorndale To reser ve a space for a booth, contact Susan Drabek at 512- 269-8796.

The Quilt Show w ill begin the TACC building in dow ntown Thorndale with variety of quilts on display for viewer judging. .

‘WILD THING’—The TACC fund-raising quilt, “ The Wild Thing,” is on display in the window of the chamber building.

Check with Thorndale merchants or any Chamber director to make a donation. Donation tickets are $1 each or six for $5.

Saturday’s events are a fundraiser for a scholarship for a deserving senior at Thorndale High School and to fund other community projects of the TACC.

MEETINGS—“A s always, the TACC welcomes all citizens to attend their meetings which are held on the fourth Tuesday of t he mont h at 6: 30 p. m.,” Tucker said.
