CAMERON—This weekend the Youth Exposition Building in Cameron will be buzzing as the 2012 edtion of the Milam County Junior Livestock Show comes to town.
Judging begins Thursday and continues through Friday. The event concludes at the 6 p.m. Saturday youth livestock auction sale. A buyers’ dinner precedes that event at 4:30 pm. Saturday at Bea’s Kitchen. Full Story
Beef quality assurance training
There will be a Texas Beef Quality Assurance Program Training held April 10 at 44 Farms in Cameron. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. and the program will begin at 9. Training will last until approximately 2 p.m. and will include lunch. Full Story
Community service is big giving part of 4-H
During spring break, 4-Hers in Milam County delivered items to the Ronald McDonald House in Temple and the Military 4-H. Thirty-four pounds of can tabs, 99 pounds of items and $25 in cash was collected and donated to the Ronald McDonald House in Temple. The items included individual snack and food items, paper goods, games and personal care products. Full Story
Fair commercial heifer tag-in set April 4
The tag-in date for the 2012 Rockdale Fair Commercial Heifer Show is scheduled for Wednesday, April 4 from 5-7 p.m. at the Arledge Feed Lot Pens on US 79 West of Rockdale. All Milam County 4-H and FFA members wishing to participate in this show are required to tag-in their heifers on this date. Full Story
