The man with the most unique resume in the history of the Rockdale ISD is retiring at the end of the school year.
Allen Sanders has been principal at three RISD campuses, assistant principal at two and even head football coach for a season during his 26-year career in Rockdale. His was one of 16 resignations accepted Monday by school trustees. Full Story
‘Holy Half Week’ Services begin Monday
The Rockdale Ministerial Alliance’s traditional noon luncheon Holy Week services start Monday but will only last through Wednesday this year.

‘Out of the Darkness’ suicide prevention walk set Saturday
Milam County’s second annual “Out of the Darkness” suicide prevention Campus Walk gets under way at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Tiger Field.
Spokesperson Pam Kaufmann said registration will begin at 9 a.m. and the event will take place “rain or shine.”
The first 100 persons to register will receive a special walk gift, she said. Full Story
