Blake

GAUSE—Funeral services for Thomas Edward Blake, 73, of College Station, formerly of Gause and Cameron, were held Monday, March 26, 2012, at Gause Methodist Church w ith Rev. Kenneth Byrd officiating. Burial followed in Norwood Cemetery in Hearne.

Mr. Blake died Wednesday, March 21, in a College Station medical center.

A retired FA A investigator, he was born Oct. 4, 1938, in Cameron to Charles Edward and Naomi Inez (McMillion) Blake.

Mr. Blake was a U.S. Air Force veteran and member of Gause Methodist Church.

Survivors include three sons, James Edward Blake of Poteau, Oklahoma, Thomas Keith Blake of McAllister, Oklahoma, Donovan Wayne Blake of Austin; two daughters, Janet Lynn Bledsoe of McAllister, Oklahoma, Veytia Rene Hays of College Station; and a brother, Charles Richard Blake; also, nine grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

The burn ban for Milam County has been lifted. Burning is always prohibited in the county's municipalities.
