Thorndale booster club golf tourney set April 21

THORNDALE— The 2012 Thorndale Athletic booster club fund raiser golf tournament will be held Saturday April 21.

Cost is $80 per player or $320 per four person team. Entr y deadline is April 12.

Milano NHS sponsoring ‘Race to the Oak Trees’

MILANO—Milano High School’s National Honor Society and Student Council groups are joining together to sponsor the “Race to the Oak Trees Milano 5K” on Saturday, March 31.

Registration should have been received by March 16 to have your event t-shirt guaranteed. Registration will also be open until 8:30 a.m. on race day.

The race will start at 9 a.m. that day in front of the high school.

Cost is $20 per person. Registration forms can be found on the Milano ISD website (www.milanoisd.net).

Milano Lodge sets golf tournament April 14

MILANO–Milano Lodge #605 AF& AM will host its 11th annual four-man scramble tourney on Saturday, April 14 at the Cameron Country Club with tee time set for 9 a.m.

The tournament will benefit the group’s scholarship fund. Entr y is $ 40 per person and prizes will be awarded to first through third places. Mulligans are available for $5 each, limit four.

Prizes will also be awarded for longest drive and closest to the pin. Lunch and drinks will be provided. Hole sponsorships are still available.
