Duke Duke DRIPPING SPRINGS — William “Bill” Strong Duke Jr., 76, died April

3, 2012.

A private celebration of his life has been planned.

Mr. Duke served our country as a sergeant in the Marine Corps during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1958.

He was a successful Realtor and developer in Port Lavaca and, after moving to Austin, he joined Texas Professional

Title as business manager until he retired in January 2001.

Mr. Duke enjoyed reading.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Strong Duke Sr. and Hazel Collins Duke, formerly of Rockdale.

Survivors are his wife of 32 years, Georgia Ann Matthews Willis Duke; a son, William J. Duke and wife Jerri; two daughters, Hazel “Missy” M. Duke and Jacqueline Duke Abbott; a stepson, Bob Willis and wife Joan; four grandchildren, Jason Inman, Alex Abbott, Austin Willis and Katie Willis; a brother Tommy Duke and wife Janie of Victoria; and his extended family, including cousin Bob Duke and wife Virginia of Austin, and niece and nephew, Denise Nance and Scott Duke; also, his beloved dog “Crissie Duke.”
