Small

Graveside service for Nina Lee (Tuma) Small, 98, were held Sunday, April 15, 2012, at Milano Cemetery with Pastor Ray Don McIntosh of Murray Street Church of Christ officiating.

Mrs. Small died Friday, April 13, at Methodist Medical Center in Richardson.

She was born Dec. 30, 1913, in Rockdale to William Alexander Tuma and Nettie Elizabeth (Key) Tuma.

She attended school at Black Jack and Bethlehem.

She married Dave Vinson Small on Sept. 10, 1931, in the Sand Grove community near Milano.

They lived in Milano until 1956, moving to Marlow, Oklahoma, and later to Lawton, Oklahoma.

After the death of Mr. Small, she moved to Richardson in 1975 to be near her children.

Mrs. Small was a long-time member of Waterview Church of Christ in Richardson.

She enjoyed sewing and cooking.

Mrs. Small was preceded in death by her husband, Dave Vinson Small; a daughter, Melba Rue Gaskill; three brothers, Floyd, Vaughn and J. T. Tuma; and her parents.

Sur v ivors are a daughter, Shirley Joy Warren of Carrollton, and a son, Russell Lee Small of Dallas; also, five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
