Four draw sentences in 20th District Court

CAMERON—Four persons were sentenced during the past week in 20th District Court, according to Prosecutor Kerry Spears, who listed case dispositions as follows:

• Israel Gutierrez Hernandez, 45, Buckholts, pleaded guilty to a lesser included Class A misdemeanor, assault causing bodily injury, 12 months deferred adjudication probation, substance abuse evaluation and any recommended treatment, $2,000 restitution, have no contact with victim or victim’s family.

• Dario Trujillo Jr., 30, Austin, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance (4-400 grams) with intent to deliver, eight years deferred adjudication probation, substance abuse evaluation and any recommended treatment, 30-day county jail term as a condition of probation, $2,500 fine, $140 restitution, must not attend, work or perform at a Nocturnal Fest in Milam County.

• Leah Christine Elliff, 26, Beaumont, pleaded guilty to evading arrest with a motor vehicle, two-year state jail term probated three years.

• Thomas Agustus Robotham, 22, Killeen, pleaded true to violating conditions of his probation on an original charge of possession of a controlled substance (28 to 200 grams), probation revoked and he was sentenced to a three-year prison term.

The burn ban for Milam County has been lifted. Burning is always prohibited in the county's municipalities.
