“ Pastor Emmy” Nnyanzi, founder of Parental Care Ministries which operates orphanages in Uganda, will visit First Baptist Churchfora6p.m.Mother’sDay service Sunday.
The Rising Star Baptist Church Choir will sing and all mothers attending will receive a free necklace, said Rev. Jack Chelf, First Baptist pastor.
“Parental Care Ministries helps the poor and orphaned children of Uganda by meeting their physical, emotional and spiritual needs in the context of Christian schools,” Rev. Chelf said.
David Kaufmann, First Baptist deacon, visited Parental Care orphanages in Uganda last year.
FGCC plans support for Project Hope Center
Forest Grove Christian Church is collecting money for Project Hope, the new Christian pregnancy center in Rockdale, located next door to The Rockdale Reporter.
Anyone who would like to fill a baby bottle (or 2 or 3) with change, dollars or checks is asked to sign up at the church. Collection period will be from Mother’s Day through Father’s Day.
These bottles will be taken to the Project Hope Center.
Millers to minister at Rockdale Outreach
Mike and Marilyn Miller of Father’s House Ministries from Fort Collins, Colorado, will be ministering Friday, Saturday and Sunday, May 11-12-13, at Rockdale Outreach Center, 193 North FM 487.
They will speak at 7 p.m. both Friday and Saturday and at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, according to Gunar Gerthe, center director.

Erwins to lead revival at Milano First Baptist
MILANO—Evangelist Dennis Erwin and family will lead a revival May 20-23 at First Baptist Church in Milano.

Aglow Lighthouse will hear Lemke Thursday
Rockdale Aglow Community Lighthouse w ill meet Thursday, May 10 for fellowship and refreshments at 6:30 p.m. and a speaker at 7 p.m. at Rockdale General Store, 1201 West US 79 in Rockdale.
Guest speaker will be Theresa Lemke, a wife, mother of four and grandmother of three who teaches in the public school system as well as her church.

Men’s breakfast held each second Tuesday
An ecumenical Christian men’s breakfast fellowship is held from 7 to 8 a.m. each second Tuesday, the location rotating between several local churches.
Next breakfast will be held on June 12 in the fellowship hall of Apostolic Faith Church, 400 West Davilla Street. The event incudes breakfast, a short devotion and fellowship.
All men of the Rockdale area are invited.

Women on Mission hold focus meeting
Women on Mission of First Baptist Church met at the church recently for a mission focus program given by Ramona Barlow on ministering to the Aboriginal Australians.
