Driver linked to abduction of teen nabbed near Rockdale

16-year-old freed in Dallas area, taken from Minnesota last year


Crawford Crawford A 16-year-old Minnesota girl was located in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex last week after a man accused of abducting her in December was stopped on a traffic offense near Rockdale.

Kristopher Lance Crawford, 28, of Grand Prairie is being transferred to St. Paul, Minnesota, to face charges of deprivation of parental rights and contempt of court.

Mackenzie Rose Morgan of St. Paul, Minnesota, was located in the Dallas area and her name was subsequently taken off national search websites which had listed her since Dec. 16, 2011.

The sites said Morgan was reported to be “traveling with an adult male she met on the Internet.”

DelBosque stopped a vehicle on US 79 for a defective license plate on April 29 and made the arrest when outstanding warrants came up on a routine check.

Crawford is being held without bond.
