Gause Junior High’s eighth grade graduation will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 24 in the Gause School Gym. At 8 a.m. on Friday, GISD will hold awards ceremonies for the rest of the school in the gym. Students will be dismissed for summer vacation when their class awards are finished.

Billy and Kim Cunningham are the proud parents of a daughter “Lizzie,” born May 15 in Bryan. Paternal grandmother is Callie Cunningham and paternal great grandmother is Lizzie Light, both of Gause. Mrs. Light is home from a recent stay in the hospital after a fall at her home. So glad she is doing better.

Recipients of the Gause Community Improvement Program’s two $200 scholarships are John Jentsch and Lyndsie Gray. Both are Milano High School graduates. We congratulate both of you.

WandaandAlCoatswere in Bryan on Saturday to watch grandson Kane Coats play baseball.

Ou r weekend g ue st s were Mary and Jim Lee of Houston. Sunday afternoon they and Wayne attended a 90th birthday celebration for the guys’ uncle, Chester Zarniki. It was held in Milano at the home of his daughter Caroline Roessler.

Ja xon Hayles and his dad Br yan had an early Father’s Day weekend. Bryan and son Tristan, David and Kathy Hayles of Seabrook and family friend Cynthia Rice of Santa Fe came for Ja xon’s baptism into the Gause Baptist Church on Sunday morning. Following the service, Jaxon and Bryan joined Jaxon’s mother’s family (our family) for lunch in Rockdale.

Then they attended Jaxon’s 4- H Shooting Sports meeting after which they went to Br yan to stay the night. Monday morning they were back in Gause for the school’s kickball tournament and then back to Bryan that evening for Jaxon’s baseball game before his dad returned home.

I know we have a number of our Gause youth playing baseball and softball around this area. I would like to know about your children, grandchildren and their games. Give me a call at 979-279-2472.
