Murray Street Church sets VBS June 10-13

“All Aboard the Kingdom Express!”

That’s the theme for the Murray Street Church of Christ Vacation Bible School to be held from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday, June 10-13.

“VBS is open to kids from age 4 to those entering the fifth grade in the fall,” said Tarrin Warren, organizer. “Refreshments will be served at the end of each session and a hot dog supper will be served Wednesday at 6 p.m. for all the family.”

Bake/garage sale, health fair at Rockdale Christian

Rockdale Christian Church, 1406 Sager Road, will host a garage and bake sale Saturday, June 2 in the church parking lot, according to Tim Ramey, spokesman.

On Saturday, June 9 Rockdale Christian will host a free health and wellness presentation at 11 a.m. in the church fellowship hall, Ramey said. Lunch will be served and children are welcome. Speakers will be Dee Lovett and Amber Hill.

‘Summer explosion’ ahead at Meadowbrook

Meadowbrook Baptist Church, 1401 Colorado Avenue in Rockdale, will host its second annual “Summer Explosion” auto and bike show Saturday, June 16 in the church parking lot.

Registration will be from 8 until 10 a.m. with awards at 12:20 p.m. Registration is $10 per entry on the day of the show.

St. Paul Lutheran sets VBS June 11-15

THORNDALE—St. Paul Lutheran Church will offer Vacation Bible School June 11-15 with the theme “Superheroes of the Bible.”

Participant ages (There will be classrooms for PreK3 who are potty trained) through incoming 7th graders (completed 6th grade).

Registration: Monday, June 11 from 8:20 to 8:45 a.m.

VBS hours: 8:45 through 11:30 a.m.

Rising Star youth revival set June 9-10

Rising Star Baptist Church, 1022 Texas Street, invites the public to a two-day Youth Revival and Celebration on Saturday and Sunday, June 9-10.

“Come out for praise, worship, dance and be blessed by the word of God,” said Jo Ann Bradford, publicist.

Speaker on Saturday, June 9 at 5 p.m. will be Dewey Allen, youth minister at Good Hope Baptist Church in Round Rock.

Speaker on Sunday, June 10 at 11 a.m. morning worship will be Minister J.B. Martin of Abundant Life Community Baptist Church in Pflugerville.

Men’s breakfast held each second Tuesday

An ecumenical Christian men’s breakfast fellowship is held from 7 to 8 a.m. each second Tuesday, the location rotating between several local churches.

Next breakfast will be held on June 12 in the fellowship hall of Apostolic Faith Church, 400 West Davilla Street. The event incudes breakfast, a short devotion and fellowship.

All men of the Rockdale area are invited.

RSBC women’s Bible study held weekly
