RJH promotes 116
There will be 116 new freshmen at Rockdale High School in August as promotion exercises for the eighth-grade class of 2011-12 were held last Wednesday (May 23) before a standing-room only crowd in the school gym. Promotion featured speeches by (at left) valedictorian Emily Ibarra and salutatorian Travis Morgan. Full Story

Cody and Leanne Burrough announce the birth of their daughter, Bailey Brooke Burrough, on May 23 in San Marcos, weighing 9 pounds, 1 ounce and measuring 20 inches long. Prestridge performs live, named Killeen ‘Rodeo Star’
Local singing sensation Hannah Prestridge was named Rodeo Star at the Killeen Rodeo on Saturday. She then performed the National Anthem a cappella live at the rodeo.
Prestridge also sang at Monday’s Memorial Day service at Wolf Park.
The prelim round was held May 12 at Toyota of Killeen with approximately 30 people auditioning for the chance to perform live at the rodeo. Full Story
