June rebate checks up for most of area
Most area entities also saw postive increase from a year ago
AUSTIN—Texas Comptroller Susan Combs sent out $514.1 million in June local sales tax allocations last week to cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose tasking districts. That is up 9.7 percent compared to a year ago.
Combs said that state sales tax revenue in May was $2.09 billion, up 7.3 percent compared to May 2011. Full Story
