‘Summer explosion’ ahead at Meadowbrook

Meadowbrook Baptist Church, 1401 Colorado Avenue in Rockdale, will host its second annual “Summer Explosion” auto and bike show Saturday, June 16 in the church parking lot.

Registration will be from 8 until 10 a.m. with awards at 12:20 p.m. Registration is $10 per entry on the day of the show.

First Baptist VBS to start Sunday

“Club VBS Space Quest” will be the theme of First Baptist Church’s Vacation Bible School which will run Sunday, June 17 through Thursday, June 21 from 6 until 8 p.m. nightly.

All children age 4 through fifth grade are welcome, according to directors Tricia Gray and Barbara Clark.

Mount Zion Baptist VBS to start Monday

Mount Zion Baptist Church at 3739 FM 1712, Rockdale, will hold Vacation Bible School Monday through Friday, June 18-22, from 8:30 until 11:30 a.m.

Theme will be “Amazing Wonders Aviation,” based on Psalm 147:5.

All children and youth ages 4 years through grade 12 are welcome, according to Bro. Luther Shelander, pastor. “All kids are invited to come be a part of learning just how awesome is God’s power and love,” he said. the necessary arrangements,” Rev. St. John’s VBS Aug. 6-8: ‘Operation Overboard’

Vacation Bible School, with the theme “Operation Overboard,” will be held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Aug. 6-8 at St. John’s United Methodist Church. All children ages 3 through 5th grade are invited, said Rev. Rita Sims, pastor. FMI call the church office, 446-5853.

Women on Mission program on Israel

Women on Mission of First Baptist Church in Rockdale met June 6 in the Family Life Center for mission focus, “A Present Day Walk Through Israel With Jesus,” presented by Lynette Simpson Fischer, FBC-Bryan, and Martha Henry, FBC-Cameron.

Israeli food and music enhanced the presentation.

VBS to start Friday at Primera Bautista

Christian men’s breakfast held each 2nd Tuesday

An ecumenical Christian men’s breakfast fellowship is held from 7 to 8 a.m. each second Tuesday, the location rotating between several local churches.

Next breakfast will be held on July 10 in the fellowship hall of First Presbyterian Church. The event incudes breakfast, a short devotion and fellowship.

All men of the Rockdale area are invited.

Aglow Lighthouse sets Scripture Fest Thursday
