Guldi

Graveside services for Arthur A. Guldi, 96, of Rockdale were held Saturday, June 9, 2012, in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Rockdale.

Mr. Guldi died Friday, June 8, at his home.

He was born Aug. 17, 1915, in Southampton, New York, to Adolph C. and Johanna (McCarthy) Guldi.

Mr. Guldi received his bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from Purdue University.

He married Elizabeth Topping Halsey on Sept. 9, 1939, in Water Mill, New York.

Mr. Guldi was a Rockdale resident for the past 47 years and was formerly of Alcoa, Tennessee.

He was an electrical engineer with Alcoa for 38 years and was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Rockdale.

Mr. Guldi was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth, on Jan. 29, 2010; a sister, Edith Guldi Platt; and three brothers, Adolph, Walter and Charles Guldi.

Survivors are a son, Richard L. Guldi of Dallas; a daughter, Susan Paaske of Brashear; five grandchildren, Rebecca E.G. Tankersley, Amy L. Guldi, Joanna Guldi, Sheri Passke and Michele Peak; 10 great-grandchildren, Trevor, Elton and Owen Tankersley, Abby and Alex Zedlitz, Coleman Guldi, Alex, Bradley and Brooke Peak and Kelsey Cope.
