Beginner 4-H camp Saturday at Gause

A ll of you who have youngsters from the age of 4-8 years of age make plans to let them come and have fun Saturday as the Milam County 4-H w ill sponsor a Beginner Fun Day Workshop at the Gause School. Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m. and they will have various activities beginning at 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Lunch will be served. Five intermediate and senior age division members from Gause 4-H Club joined other Milam County 4-Hers for a week in Lubbock this past week as they participated in State 4-H Roundup.

Milam Count y had several winners including the Gause members. They participated in the Invitational Wildlife Challenge and the intermediate team with members Kendall Lee, Seth Vinton and Cameron Cooper from Gause and Patrick Dean from Rockdale placed second. The senior team of Connelly Cooper, Phillip Rasco of Gause and William Dean from Rockdale placed first. Connelly was third high individual. A trip to Lubbock is a long one but we had a great time all week. Adults from the Gause Club attending were Kelly and Chris Cooper and myself.

Lois Wilkins is recuperating at home from back surgery that she had last Wednesday in Temple. Get well soon, Lois. Her children have been taking turns being with her for the recovery. Preteens from the Gause Baptist Church are in Latham Springs at church camp this week.

Hope all of you that are having your vacations are having a great time.

Noah and McKenzie Coldiron have been having a fun summer as they made a trip to Disney World in Florida with parents, Chelsi and Jeremy, then they came home and spent the week in Cameron with grandparents, Sandra and Charlie West and attend Bible School at the First Baptist Church last week and then this past weekend they went to Houston to spend a couple days with aunt and uncle, Erica and Jason Starnes.
