One treated after Friday accident

A 35-year-old Hutto woman was treated at Richards Memorial Hospital Friday morning after a tree limb came off another vehicle and truck her van.

State Trooper Broderick Sims said Brenda Keeney told him she ran off the highway after the limb struck her van, causing moderate damages.

Sims said Keeney’s six-year-old son, who was a passenger, was not injured.

The Rockdale Volunteer Fire Department, an AMR ambulance crew and Rockdale police also responded to the accident scene, on US 79 just east of the KC Hall.

The accident was reported at 10:30 a.m.

Moderate damage was reported in a one-vehicle accident south of Rockdale on Saturday.

Trooper Donald Delukie said the vehicle, driven by 56-year-old Thomas Hayden of Bryan, left FM 908 near the County Road 316 intersection.

Delukie said neither Hayden nor his passenger were injured.

Moderate damages were reported when a pickup ran off CR 342 and through a fence at 10:50 a.m. Sunday southeast of Milano.

Sims listed the driver as Justin Grimes, 16, of Rockdale., Sims said a vehicle, which then left the scene, ran the pickup off the road.

No injuries, and moderate damages, were reported in a 6 a.m. Tuesday collision between a car and deer on FM 2116, southeast of Rockdale.

Driver was listed as Julia Page, 48, of Rockdale, according to Sims.

The burn ban for Milam County has been lifted. Burning is always prohibited in the county's municipalities.
