CA MERON—F u nera l services for Roy Lee Osband, 78, of Cameron will be held at 12-noon Friday, June 22, 2012, at Central Church of Christ in Cameron w ith Bro. Jesse Jackson and Bro. Theaster Malloy officiating. Burial will follow at Cameron Rest Cemetery.

Visitation is scheduled for 11 a.m. until the service on Friday at the church.

Mr. Osband died Saturday, June 16, in a Temple hospital.

He was born Aug. 11, 1933, in Cameron to Sylvester and Lula Mae (White) Osband.

He graduated from O.J. Thomas High School in 1951 and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict.

Mr. Osband received a bachelor’s degree from Southwestern Christian College in Terrell and a master’s degree from Jarvis Christian College in Hawkins.

He was a member of Central Church of Christ and ministered in Rogers, Big Sandy, Borger and Galveston.

Survivors are his wife, Dorothy Osband of Cameron; two sons, O.L. Osband of Cameron, Christopher Lamar Sharpless of K illeen; a brother, Ernest Osband of Cameron; a sister, Ruby Lewis; and a grandchild, Olivia Osband of San Antonio.Page 3D
