Saturday benefit for Diabetes Society
A benefit is planned in honor of C.W. Coldiron for the American Diabetes Society on Saturday, June 23 at Nat’s in Milano, organizer Karen Coldiron said. “Mr. Coldiron suffered from diabetes since his youth. He passed away in August, 2011 at the age of 31,” she said.
The fund-raiser will include a bike run, live auction, horseshoe tournament, 50/50 drawing and barbecue plates and DJ music.
Barbecue plates will be $7 in advance and $8 at the event. Plates will be ready at 11:30 a.m.
Motorcycle run registration will start at 9 a.m. with the first bike out at 11 a.m. and the last bike in at 4 p.m. Cost is $20 per rider, $25 with passenger. Stops include Deanville Bar & Grill, Charlie’s in Lexington, War Horse in Thorndale and the Rockdale VFW.
