Proposal ‘fine tuned’ in P&Z discussion
Rockdale is one city council vote away from having its first-ever ordinance regulating parking recreational vehicles (RVs) in the city limits.
The city’s Planning & Zoning Board (P&Z) unanimously recommended adoption of such an ordinance Thursday, with some minor language changes. Full Story

Murder trial begins in day care death
Victim was 10-week-old son of former Rockdale Junior-High band director
SAN MARCOS—The capital murder trial of a former Kyle day care center owner, in connection with the death of a 10-week-old baby in 2010, is under way.
The victim, Benjamin Spencer, was the son of former Rockdale residents Duane “Dee” and Robin Spencer. Full Story
