Teens caught after Rockdale theft

Drug charges in Milano follow incident at local convenience store

Two 17-year-olds from Austin are facing drug charges after a Thursday incident which began in Rockdale.

Lt. J. D. Newlin said police recived a report of three persons stealing beer from Duchess Double Kwik on East Cameron (US 79).

The Milam County Sheriff’s Department apprehended suspects believed to have been involved at the Milano Cefco and found cocaine and marijuana, according to Newlin.

Brian Charles Bailey was charged with possession of a controlled substance (less than one gram) and was released after posting $5,000 bond.

Paul Won Hubert was charged with possession of marijuana (less than two ounces). He was released after posting $1,500 bond.

Newlin said a juvenile was also apprehended.

Rockdale police issued citations in connections with the convenience store theft.
