Ethan Brinkley continues to collect post season honors. Ethan Brinkley continues to collect post season honors. The post-season honors for Ethan Brinkley continue to roll in as the senior-to-be outfielder was named to two different all-area teams.

Brinkley was selected for both the Bryan-College Station Eagle All-Brazos Valley squad and the Austin American

Statesman’s All- Central Texas team.

Although he is also a pitcher, Brinkley was chosen as an outfielder on the All-Centex team and as a designated hitter on the Brazos Valley squad.

He was a third team All-Centex pick and second team on the Brazos Valley team, where he was also named to the all-academic team as well.

After raising his batting average nearly 300 points from last season, Brinkley was named to the first-team of the 23-3A all-district baseball team.

Brinkley, who hit .104 last season, batted .402 and led the Tigers in hitting and runs batted in with 28 and was named as an outfielder.

The 20-14 Tigers made their first playoff appearance since 2009 before bowing out in the area round.

Senior Weston Wick (14-1) of LaGrange—the district’s most valuable player—was also named to the All-Centex team.
