Volleyball spikes up Tuesday
All three teams have playoff aspirations
While football garners most of the attention this time of the year, volleyball teams are also preparing for their upcoming seasons which begin in earnest on Tuesday.

Crawford sprints to two medals at Jr. Olympics
HUMBLE—JaQualyn Crawford, a seventh grader from Rockdale, brought home two medals from the Junior Olympics over the weekend.
The speedy Crawford was fourth in the nat ion in the 400-meter run and also placed sixth in the 100-meter dash.
The 12-year old turned in personal best times in both events, clocking in at 56.08 in the 400 and 12.12 in the 100. Full Story
MOJO MAGIC—The MOJO 11U select baseball team wrapped up six straight days of baseball on July 26th witha4to3WorldSeriesChampionshipwinovertheNorthTexasStateChampionteam,theHeroes from Garland in Round Rock. Thunderkatz select softball holding tryouts
The Cen-Tex Thundercatz girls select softball team is holding tryouts Sunday for a new 16U team. The tryouts will be from 4-6 p.m. at the Rockdale Girls Softball Complex.
