Traffic stop nets 3 meth arrests for local police

• Lorina G. Ramirez, 24, Austin, manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance (4 to 200 grams), in custody on $50,000 bond.
• Emily Jane Aguilar, 18, Austin, manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance (4 to 200 grams), in custody on $50,000 bond.
MASTERMIND—The man identified as the leader of a forgery ring which hit targets all over the state, including Rockdale’s Brookshire Bros., was returned to Milam County to face charges this week.
Ruben Medellin Jr., 47, of San Marcos, was charged in Milam County with forgery of a financial instrument, engaging in organized crime, failure to identify fugitive from justice and 27 outof county charges and was arrested in Travis County last week.
He remains incarcerated in lieu of bond totaling $235,800.
ARREST—A 34- year- old Rockdale woman was charged with possession of a controlled substance (less than one gram) in connection with what police termed a “crack pipe.”
Amanda Lee Fisher remains in custody in lieu of $6,000 bond.
ACCIDENT—Police said vehicles operated by David Palicka of Caldwell and Kris Box of Rockdale were in collision at 8:55 p.m. Friday at the Texas-Belton intersection.
Damage estimates were not available.
CITATIONS—Traffic tickets issued during the week included 14 for speeding, 13 for no MVI sticker, eight for failure to maintain financial responsibility, six for operating a vehicle with expired license plates, two for driving without a license and one each for allowing an unlicensed driver to operate a motor vehicle, disregarding an official traffic control device, running a stop sign and violation of child safety restraint requirement.
One citation was issued for violation of a City of Rockdale ordinance.
