Wednesday morning marked the formal beginning of the 2012-13 school term for the entire Rockdale ISD as all employees gathered for the traditional breakfast and welcome session in the junior-high commons. The free distributions is on the third Thursday of each month at 9 a.m. Just under 200 persons were served on Thursday. There are no qualifications or restrictions. Saturday, three days after the land sale announcement, United Steelworkers Local 4895 held its annual picnic at The Ranch. There were still 750 members of the Local Union employed at Rockdale Operations when it shut down all six potlines in 2008-09. Child sex assaults, drug cases draw Milam indictments
CAMERON—Two sexual assault of a child indictments and 12 for drug offenses were among the 27 handed down Thursday as a Milam County Grand Jury gathered in 20th District Court.
