Services for Roy G. “Gappy” Miller, 68, were held Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2012, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with Pastor Burt Graham officiating. Burial was in Liberty Cemetery near Milano
Mr. Miller died Monday, Aug. 20 in Scott & White Hospital in Temple after a lengthy illness.
He was born Jan. 11, 1944, in Cameron to Ray Kirkland and Gertrude (Elmore) Miller.
He married Edith Cass on Sept. 15, 1967, at First Baptist Church in Gause.
Mr. Miller owned and operated Gappy’s Clip Joint in Milano and worked as a road grader for Milam County maintenance.
He was a member of Milano Volunteer Fire Department for over 30 years.
Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Irene McElwain.
Survivors are his wife, Edith Miller; a son, Trent Miller of Milano; a daughter, Regina Leopold and husband Paul of Rockdale; two granddaughters, Haley Leopold and Karley Leopold of Rockdale; and two sisters, Joann Davidson and husband Carrol of Milano, Linda Mathews and husband Joe of Temple.
Pallbearers were members of the Milano Volunteer Fire Department.
