Henson reunion Saturday

THORNDALE—Family and friends are invited to the annual Henson reunion to be held Saturday, Aug. 25 at the Thorndale VFW post home.

Lunch will be served at about 2 p.m. and fellowship, dominoes, games and music will follow for the remainder of the day.

“Bring your favorite dish for everyone to enjoy. Paper goods and tea will be provided,” Lynn Martin, publicist, said.

Ford family reunion

Friends and families of Charlie Franklin Ford and John Wesley Ford are planning to meet for a family reunion Sunday, Sept. 2 at the Milano Community Center in Milano. The reunion will begin at 10:30 a.m. and will continue to mid-afternoon.

Bring a covered dish and lunch will be served at noon. Drawings will be held for door prizes. “Bring family pictures and any games that might be enjoyed,” said Mary Jane Boyd, spokesperson.

Tuma-Holliman reunion

The Tuma-Holliman reunion will be held Saturday, Sept. 1 in Rockdale Christian Church fellowship hall, 1406 Sager in Rockdale, spokesperson JoAnn McClain announced.

A catered meal will be served at 12:30 p.m. with desserts furnished by attendees.

All relatives and friends are invited to attend and bring photos and memorabilia.

Everyone is urged to bring items for a silent auction, McClain said.

Eiland family reunion

The 75th annual Eiland family reunion will be held at noon Sunday, Sept. 2 at the KC Hall in Rockdale. Paper goods and drinks will be furnished. Attendees are asked to bring a picnic lunch to share. Family members are urged to attend and bring their extended families.—Joy Kenjura, 979-836-2698

RHS Class of 1967

RHS Class of 1967 will hold its 45th-year reunion Sept. 14-15.

The pre-reunion party will be at 6 p.m. Friday at Apache Pass. Saturday will be the main event at the home of Connie Jensen Britton at 5 p.m. A catered meal will be served at 6:30.

RHS Class of 1982

RHS Class of 1982 will hold its 30th-year reunion the weekend of RHS’ homecoming Sept. 28-29. Friday will be the homecoming football game. Saturday classmates will meet for brunch (location to be announced). Main part of the reunion will be held at 6 p.m. at Apache Pass.

Milano Exes reunion

MILANO—The Milano Eagles will host the Iola Bulldogs on Friday, Sept. 14 for the MHS homecoming football game.

The Milano Ex-Students reunion will be held on Saturday, Sept. 15, at the Milano Civic Center, located east of the overpass and the first street to the south. It is in the same building as the Milano fire station. Doors will open at 10 a.m.

The roast beef, green beans and potato meal will start at noon. Plates will be $11 with takeouts available. Dessert will be a choice of bread pudding or peach cobbler. Steve and Rebecca Telg and Richard and Jennifer Mueck of The Crossing are catering.

Donations are welcome for silent and live auctions. Items can be brought the morning of the reunion. To arrange for items to be picked up, contact Carolyn Hafley. “We had a great variety last year and made $991 on the auctions alone,” Hafley said. “Every donation is appreciated as the money goes to scholarships.”
