Kennedy I want to say a big “thank you” to all of our teachers who shape the minds of our children each day and put their heart and souls into it. I hope you all have a great year.

ONE YEAR—Snap Fitness is celebrating their one year anniversary 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30. There will be refreshments and lots of discounts and giveaways. Please stop by and tell Snap and Wayne congratulations on one successful year and we hope for many more.

ESTELL BOOK—Dr. Lucile Estell has written a book titled, “Images of America–Rockdale.” Many books have been sold but there are still some available. Please stop by the chamber and pick up your copy today.

OUTDOOR EXPO—The Chamber is gearing up for their second annual Central Texas Hunting and Outdoor Expo which will be held Sept. 21-22. We are so excited that our feature band this year will be the famous, “Little Texas”. You will not want to miss this event.

We are taking applications for vendors and barbecue teams. So get your spot as soon as possible. You can download applications and look at all the exciting activities planned by going to our website, www.rockdalechamber.com.

KAY FUN RUN—The Kay Theatre will be hosting their seventh annual 5K run on Sept. 29. Check in will be from 7:30–8 a.m. with the Kids Kay starting at 8 a.m. and the main run starting at 8:30. Applications can be picked up at the chamber.
