Items still needed for Kristi’s Krusaders event

K risti’s Krusaders third annual “Rally for the Walk”

Walk MS 2012 has been set for Saturday, Sept. 8 at Nat’s in Milano. The day’s events will include a five-stop motorcycle ride, motorcycle show, barbecue for sale, live and silent auctions, pool tournament, horseshoe tournament and more. Proceeds will benefit the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society.

The Milano PATCH Club will hold its next meeting on Thursday, Sept. 6 at the elementary principal’s office. The group will elect officers at the meeting. Start time will be 6:30 p.m.

The group has also started collection of the “Box Tops for Education” that gets free money for our schools. If you have any you want to turn in before school starts, contact club president Marie Bakken at 254-718-0133, m_ lagrone@yahoo.com or drop them off at The Rockdale Reporter office.

Gause Soccer League for this fall is forming for boys and girls ages 4-13 as of Sept. 1, 2012.

You may register your child or children at the Gause School Cafeteria Thursday, Aug. 30 from 6-7:30 p.m. in the same place. Cost is $40 per child for all ages.

This is open for all children from Gause, Cameron, Mumford, Calvert, Milano and Hearne school districts. If you have any questions they can be answered at the time of registering your children, or at the website gauseparents club.net or by at Lisa Koenig@hotmail.com or janetpilkey03@yahoo.com

The Milano Ex-Students Association reunion and luncheon will be held Saturday, Sept. 15 at the Milano Civic Center. A catered meal by The Crossing (Steve and Rebecca Telg and Richard and Jennifer Mueck) will be served at noon and include roast, green beans and potatoes.
