The 12th annual “Meet The Tigers” cake auction was held Friday night in Tiger Gymnasium and it raised $7,925 for the athletic program, the most since 2008 when almost $10,000 was raised.

In over a decade of selling off their baked goods, Rockdale athletes have raised over $53,000 for the athletic program.

Tiger players bake cakes, pies or cookies themselves and the results were auctioned off by veteran caller John Fisher to anyone who wished to bid, with many going for $200 to $300 apiece.

Organizers listed the items and who purchaded them as follows:

•Little River Healthcare System— Noe Zelaya

• Glen Talley—Marcus Hayes
