Democrats will return to the pavilion at 7 p.m. Thursday for a “livestreamed” viewing of President Barack Obama’s acceptance speech at the Democratic

National Convention, according to Richard Stone, county chair. “Members of the Senate District 5 delegation are expected to deliver a convention report about 7:45 p.m.,” he said. Stone asked those attending to bring lawn chairs, bug spray and a picnic. On Monday, Milam Democrats also gathered in Cameron.

The burn ban for Milam County has been lifted. Burning is always prohibited in the county's municipalities.
