Everybody gets in on the fun in eighth straight win over Waco Christian
MILANO—Eight times played, eight straight wins.
The Milano Eagles slammed the newly named Texas Christian Academy Pacers 45-0 in front of the home crowd at Pruett Field on Friday night in the 2012 season opener.
Texas Christian Academy and Parkview Christian Academy have now consolidated into one school, changing from the Stars to the Pacers. Full Story
King crowns 400-plus wins as No. 7 Lady Eagles soar
Milano finishes in top eight in 38-team Robinson Tournament
Milano Lady Eagles veteran head coach Wendy King recorded at least her 400th career varsity win on Saturday during the Robinson tournament where her No. 7 ranked Milano team placed in the top eight of the 38-team tourney.
It was at least King’s 400th win because the record from her first year at Milano (1994) cannot be found and was not turned in to the media. Full Story

Tuesday opener big game, big play among elite teams
THORNDALE—It was a big game to start big play on Tuesday night at Bulldog Gym and Thorndale made a statement as it took down No. 7 and Milam County rival Milano in a marathon match to open up District 16A play.
It was the first district loss suffered by Milano (14-6, 0-1) since 2010 and just the third district loss for the school since 2007. Full Story

Tiger JV, freshmen split season home openers
The Tiger freshmen got a first quarter scoring pass to stand up in an 8-6 victory over Salado in the season lid-lifter Thursday night at Tigerland Field.
Quarterback Joey Montelongo’s five-yard hookup with Chase Pickett in the first quarter put the Tigers up 8-0 after Jonathon Ramey’s extra point run. Full Story
