Reporter/Mike Brown Reporter/Mike Brown Drivers of these trucks apparently escaped life-threatening injuries in this 12:09 p.m. Monday collision on US 77, just north of the Cowboy Church. Falls County DPS Trooper David Grote said a Coufal-Prater delivery truck, operated by Matthew Montelongo, 29, of Cameron was turning off the highway to make a delivery when it was in collision with an 18-wheeler operated by Vejzovic Sejfo, 46, of Waterloo, Iowa. Grote said Montelongo was taken to Scott & White Hospital, Temple, for treatment of a scalp laceration. Sejfo was checked over at Richards Memorial Hospital, Rockdale. Damages to both vehicles were termed extensive. Rockdale volunteer firefighters also responded.

The burn ban for Milam County has been lifted. Burning is always prohibited in the county's municipalities.
