(Some) buildings recover from crash

Some downtown buildings are coming back from the crash of a wall Aug. 29-30.

Cliff’s Tavern re-opened during the past week and Ram Optical and O’Barr Rost Realtors buildings have been cleared to re-open as soon as renovation work is complete, according to Lon Williams, city code enforcement officer. (O’Barr Rost moved across the street and stayed open.)

Williams said it remains likely the Cameo Insurance and Old Tyme Friends Antique buildings will be razed. A two-story building at Main and Cameron sustained only electrical damage, he said.
