Esquivel

Funeral services for Connie Esquivel, 70, of Cameron were held Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012, at St. Monica’s Catholic Church with Rev. Dimitrij Colankin officiating. Burial followed in the Hernandez Cemetery.

Vigil and rosary was recited on Friday, Sept. 7, at Marek- Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron.

Ms. Esquivel died Wednesday, Sept. 5, at her home.

She was born Feb. 16, 1942, in Cameron to David and Felipa (Vargas) Esquivel.

Ms. Esquivel had worked as an upholsterer for Royal Seating.

She was a member of St. Monica’s Catholic Church.

Survivors include four sons, David Villarreal and Joe Esquivel, both of Cameron, Ramiro Vi l larreal of Troy, Richard Esquivel of Dallas; a daughter, Eva Douglas of Fort Worth; three brothers, Ignacio Rodriguez of Dallas, Pablo Rodriguez of Carlsbad, California, Carlos Rodriguez of Cameron; and a sister, Isabel Rivera of Temple; also, 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

The burn ban for Milam County has been lifted. Burning is always prohibited in the county's municipalities.
