Reporter/Cliff Dungan The No. 15 Milano Lady Eagles volleyball team has bounced back to take down two district foes this week in straight sets after falling in their District 16A opener to No. 13 Thorndale last week.

On Tuesday night, the Lady Eagles (16- 6, 2-1) took down Buckholts on the road in straight sets 15-10, 25-9, 25-14.

Stonie Guthrie had 11 kills, followed by Myka Morehead with eight.

K iersten Bastow set up 16 assists and Hayleigh LaGrone added nine assists.

On Saturday afternoon, Milano defeated Bartlett in straight sets at Geneva Paceley Gym, 25-5, 25-14, 25-8.

Guthrie paced the team with 16 kills. Morehead added nine kills and five aces, with Holt putting down four kills and two aces.

Bastow put up 15 assists and one block, with Hayleigh LaGrone adding 10 assists. Keely LaGrone served three aces, with Brianna Roth putting down two aces and libero Kelly Wadlington pulling out three digs.

The Lady Eagles will travel to Granger for games on Saturday, then be back in Milano on Tuesday to host Holland.
