Tax rebates up in September
Texas sales tax revenue $2.34 billion for month of August
AUSTIN—Texas Comptroller Susan Combs said that state sales tax revenue in August was $2.34 billion, up 18.5 percent compared to August 2011.
Combs sent out $559.2 million in July local sales tax allocations last week to cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose taxing districts. That is up 15.5 percent compared to the same time in 2011. Full Story
