Deferred adjudication in drug case

CAMERON—A 19 -year- old Comfort man received a deferred adjudication sentence last week in 20th District Court on a drug case, according to Prosecutor Kerry Spears.

She said Adam Lee Johnson pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance (less than one gram) and was placed on three years deferred adjudication probation.

He was also assessed standard conditions of probation, including substance abuse evaluation and any recommended treatment, was ordered to pay $140 restitution, fined $1,500, prohibited from any Nocturnal Fest-type concerts, or places where alcoholic beverages are sold and/or consumed during the term of his probation.

The burn ban for Milam County has been lifted. Burning is always prohibited in the county's municipalities.
