Graveside services for Nasario Guzman Cruz, 64, of Livingston were held Sunday, Aug. 26, 2012, in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Rockdale.
Mr. Cruz died Tuesday, Aug. 14, in Hospice in the Pines in Lufkin.
He was born Jan. 27, 1948, in Granger to Victoriano and Alvira (Guzman) Cruz.
Mr. Cruz was self-employed in general sales for 35 years.
He married Jody Mercer on Feb. 2, 1998, in Livingston.
Mr. Cruz enjoyed shooting pool. He was a friendly, outgoing and giving person.
He was preceded in death by his father, Victoriano Cruz; a brother, Andrew Cruz; two sisters, Virginia Munoz and Janie Oviedo; and a niece, Anita Cruz.
Survivors are his wife, Jody Mercer Cruz; his mother, Alvira Cruz; three sons, John Aldama, Mark Cruz and Carl Wayne Cruz; a daughter, Bianca Cruz; two stepsons, Alan Poage and Robert Poage; two stepdaughters, Karen Leleux and Katherine Poage; a brother, Manuel Cruz; three sisters, Sally Aldama, Susana Garza and Rosemary Hernandez; 17 grandchildren, Brandon, Jadan, Ziva-Ann, Harley, Nevaeh, Brandy, Kyle, Erica, Blanca, Dante, Angel, Trey, Coby, Kobi, Sierra, Elijah and Viktoria; and two great-grandchildren, Jazzalena and Zaniya.
