A funny thing happened during the Rockdale-Liberty Hill contest Friday night.
A 6-Man game broke out.
In the highest combined-scoring game in Rockdale football history, Liberty Hill literally ran away from the Tigers 76-35 at Tigerland Field Friday night in front of a crowd that may have suffred from whiplash en masse, watching both teams run up and down the field. Full Story

Lady Tigers dump Ducks for first district victory
Spikers fight back from early deficit to tame Taylor
Fighting back from a first set loss, the Rockdale Lady Tigers rebounded for an 18-25, 25-17, 25-23, 26-24 victory over Taylor at Tiger Gymnasium, their first in District 18-3A play.
After a district opening loss to Navasota, the Lady Tigers stand 8-13 on the season and 1-1 in league play. Full Story

Milano gearing up for rematch with Chilton
MABANK—For the four th straight season, the Milano Eagles are sitting at 4-0 heading into their final tune up game before district action begins.
The team took a long road trip to play the Mabank freshman team on Thursday night, winning 26-0 and without two key Eagle players. Full Story
Lady Dogs remain undefeated in district play with two wins
Thorndale ranked No. 15 in the state in latest poll
Now ranked No. 15 in the latest Class A poll of the Texas Girls Coaches Association, the Thorndale Lady Dogs (18-4, 7-0) smashed two more opponents over the week, taking down both Buckholts and Bartlett over the week to finish up the first round of District 16A play.
On Tuesday night, Thorndale trounced Buckholts on the road 25-5, 25-11, 25-8. Full Story
Lady Eagles aiming for rematch with Thorndale
Milano has remained perfect since loss in district opener
MIL ANO—The No. 17 Lady Eagles (20-6 , 6-1) swept two more District 16A opponents over the week, setting up what should be an exciting re-match with No. 20 Thorndale on Saturday to start the second round of league play.
The first time these two teams met was on Sept. 4 in Thorndale and Milano was ranked No. 7. The Lady Dogs pulled an upset in a five set marathon. Full Story

Seventh graders save the day again with win
The Rockdale seventh garde team for the second straight week represented the one victory for the subvarsity teams against Liberty Hill Thursday.
