Three Rockdale men have been arrested and law enforcement personnel were searching for one more heading into the weekend, after a theft from Rockdale Walmart and a subsequent vehicle and foot chase Wednesday morning.

  In custody are:

  • Logan Dellerman, 23, identified as the driver, charged with evading arrest on foot, evading arrest by vehicle, theft ($50 to $500) and possession of a controlled substance (less than one gram), bond totaling $50,000.

  • Diamond Ramos, 25, evading arrest on foot, theft ($50 to $500), bond totaling $20,000.

  •  Tyler Phillips, 17, evading arrest on foot, theft ($50 to $500), bond totaling $20,000.

Just after 10 a.m.Wednesday police were advised "four white males" had left Walmart without paying for a computer. A desciption of their vehicle was broadcast and area law enforcement agencies were alerted.

Minutes later Rockdale Police Chief Thomas Harris, just north of town on FM 908, spotted a vehicle matching the description and attempted to stop it. Harris said the driver sped up and attempted to elude him.

A high-speed chase ensued on FM 908 and County Road 302 during which contact was lost. A passer-by reported the car had crashed at the FM 487-FM 1600 intersection and four men had fled into the woods on foot.

Officers from numerous agencies converged on the scene. Two were arrested  at the scene Wednesday and Phillips was picked up on Thursday.
