Thursday, the MDD board adopted a far-ranging economic development plan for Rockdale, which of course is still coping with the loss of more than 1,000 jobs from the closing of Alcoa’s smelter in 2008-09. Full Story
‘Ride for Cure’ set Saturday for downtown
The third annual “Ride for the Cure” benefiting the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation will be held Saturday, beginning and ending at Cliff’s Tavern, 218 North Main.
Registration will begin at 9 a.m. with the first bike out at 11 a.m. and the last bike in at 4 p.m. Entry fee is $20 per rider ($25 with passenger) and the fee includes a meal. Full Story
